Sailing School
Our sailing school builds confidence and life skills in a safe, family-oriented environment. All instructors are bilingual and offer Sail Canada CANSail Certificate tests at the end of each session. Many of our certified coaches are graduates of the program themselves.
Registration begins February 1 on Checklick. Operating hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, including statutory holidays.
Junior Programs
Opti Learn to Sail (ages 6–10), CANSail 1–4 (ages 8–18+), Race Team programs, and regatta competition across Quebec and Ontario.
Adult Sailing
Learn to sail, cruising skills, and racing fundamentals for adults 18+. Evening and weekend sessions available.
Employment
Join our team! BDYC hires CANSail Sailing Instructors each summer to teach in our sailing school program.
CANSail Sailing Instructor
Duration: Approximately 8 weeks, late June to late August
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Compensation: Competitive salary with 1.5x overtime pay
Requirements
- CANSail Instructor certification
- Completion of annual training program
- Strong swimming ability
