Adult Sailing

Whether you’re new to sailing or looking to sharpen your skills, BDYC offers adult programs for all experience levels. Our bilingual instructors provide a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for adults 18 and over.

Adult Learn-to-Sail

  • Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
  • Dates: June 29 – July 15, 2026
  • Fee: $575 + tax
  • Ages: 18+
  • Minimum: 6 participants required to run

What You’ll Learn

  • Basic sailing techniques and boat handling
  • Racing basics including mark rounding
  • Safety procedures and navigation basics

Good to Know

  • Strong swimmer required.
  • Bring your own Transport Canada-approved PFD; the Club provides the boats.
  • Sessions run rain or shine — dress for the weather (waterproof layer, closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen).
  • The Club is not peanut-free.
